our story

Sue Sinclair is a visionary and over the years has  pioneered many ministries within the Church and out in the community.  She has a passion to see people encounter Jesus' love. God called Sue into an amazing and adventurous prayer journey, birthing CWM in 2002 and taking her and the team across the nations.  Together we have seen the impossible become possible, as we have simply heard God and obeyed what He has asked us to do.

Based in Liverpool, CWM consists of Christians from across the nation and breadth of the Church.  Their passion is to see the Church fulfilling its potential introducing people to Jesus and transforming their communities. Concerned that we were not seeing our city prospering or people coming to Jesus we asked God to teach us how to pray. Since then the CWM team have seen breakthroughs in issues concerning Liverpool, the UK and across the nations:

  • 1999 Liverpool was the 1st city to apologise for its part in the slave trade

  • 2002 to 2005 Massive drug related arrests and breakthroughs

  • The Heysel Stadium repentance and forgiveness

  • Breakthrough in Uganda with the Lord's Resistance Army.

  • The Hillsborough disaster seeing truth come and Coroners verdict overturned.

  • Money multiplication!  You need to read this story!

  • Governments around the world

  • 2018 Liverpool - 1st city globally to be forgiven for its role in the slave trade.

We were recognized for reducing crime through prayer by being awarded Citizen of the Year by Merseyside Police and also received a Community Safety Award 2004.

Many people have been healed, changed, and transformed at the Big PUSH which is a regular worship and prayer gathering led by CWM.  Jenny was badly injured with back injuries in a car accident in 2009. She came to the Big PUSH and received prayer knowing immediately that God had touched her back and within three days she was completely healed.  Kath had suffered with sciatica for weeks and after prayer she was healed. Mark said, “I had been suffering from severe neck and back pain and was in constant pain for 24hrs a day for 3 months.  I was completely healed!”  We have seen many couples have children who had been told it was impossible.

The CWM Team has worked with Leaders across the breadth of the Church and with governments in many nations.  We have provided prayer and teaching which has brought powerful breakthroughs in lives and communities especially in Brussels, USA, France, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda and Ghana.

CWM has a heart for reconciliation and healing and have worked in some of the toughest places in the world.  In 2018 we helped the Church and community in Cape Coast, Ghana to make an Apology for the African role in the Transatlantic Slave Trade. During this trip Archbishop Justice Akrofi who led The Apology released forgiveness to Liverpool, the first time this has been granted to us in 500 years.  We have had meetings with Dr Benjamin the Director of the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool, and Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson who are looking to see Liverpool building links with Cape Coast – developing the museum in the Slave Castle and twinning the cities together…watch this space!
