Our recent Prayer Cabinet was in Newsham Park - 18th May 2026
Huge thanks to Jane Tompkins and the Jesus in the Park team for hosting the Prayer Cabinet on Monday 18th May. We had a really special time of worship and powerful prayer for the tent mission, praying for a true revival for our region. We also prayed for “Ignite my City” hosted by Pastor Blessing Osaghae on 6th June and “Jesus Loves” 27th to 29th August which will be hosted by Judah and Rachel Cole.
The Vision
1) To mobilise strategic, powerful and effective prayer for the transformation and protection of the Mersey Region and beyond. 2) Quickly mobilise prayer and action if needed in emergency situations. 3) Encourage and support Leaders in the Church, Ministry and Workplace. 4) See relationships strengthened and developed between Leaders and intercessors.
Our priorities are:
1) Welcome the King of glory to move in our region as we develop unity through worshipping and praying together. 2) Pray for the protection of our region and quickly mobilise effective prayer in response to any emergency situations where there is a risk to life. 3) To see the spiritual atmosphere transformed and people throughout our region encountering Jesus’ love.
What have we done so far?
Since the Prayer Cabinet started, it’s been great to look back and thank God for all that has been achieved in a short time. 1) Encouraged prayer walking and led prayer walks in Liverpool and Southport. 2) Provided Prayer Training @ CLC 3) Hosted Watchmen, Gatekeepers and Intercessors training @ Bootle, St Helen's and Birmingham. 4) Provided Prayer Diaries. 5) Communicated via email, WhatsApp and Facebook group. 6) Mobilised prayer and worship for Southport 7) Prayed for individuals and ministries - seen healings and miracles 8) Hosted Prayer Gatherings and events – * Bi-monthly Leaders gatherings in each of the boroughs across our region. * Partnered with TFH for the Regional prayer gathering. * Hosted Momentum 3-day gatherings with Rachel Hickson and Helen Azer - Oct 24 * Hosted Jim Ware and Devon House of Prayer Team - May 2025. * Pip and Pete Gardener – October 2025.
